The Volunteers elect their Chief and Officers yearly as per the established bylaws and Job Description Criteria. The Board of Directors then approves the appointments after review of the candidates and their qualifications. The officers are responsible for the daily operations of the department in order to keep our community safe. They participate in monthly training under the direction of

Served the departments first Chief from: 2006-12/31/2011 He remains active in the department. Injury during the 2011 Wild Fires in East Texas caused him to have to step down from his administrative duties. His selfless dedication and numerous hours volunteering, freely giving of his time and expertise as a Master Fire Fighter helped make the department what it is today. We are grateful for his leadership and willingness to serve in order to keep our community safe.

Tom Keith had to resign for medical reasons but he has been a vital part of this department from its inception. His contribution to JMVFD for countless years, his hard work, dedication, and commitment to keeping our volunteers and community safe is a career of great distinction. His volunteerism and enthusiasm was infectious as he gave of himself with selfless dedication. Thank you for your contribution in keeping our community safe.
